“Sometimes walking away has nothing to do with weakness and everything to do with strength. We walk away not because we want others to realize our worth and value, but because we finally realize Our own”~unknown
This is what I live by, Showing value to others and expecting nothing less in return.
Hi, my name is Mari and I’m a Photographer and Writer who started Living in Mommywood back in August 2013, in hopes of sharing a laid-back approach to all things parenting-related. As the blog developed, little did I know that my heartaches would steer me into broadening my writing to empower, motivate, and inspire all individuals, parents, or not.
Today I use my platform as an advocate for Wellness and Mental Health. I use my writing as a form of healing through generational traumas and family curses. I believe all healing is possible through Creating in whatever forms that manifest your Best Life.
I have a beautiful daughter who currently lives in Florida and is the love of my life. I’ve used the tools I write about to create a trusting, loving, and respectful relationship with her to this day. Communication means everything to us and our connection.
I love reading, comedies, and pizza. I practice Yoga and Meditation and prefer holistic approaches to all things over medication (when applicable). Laughter is a huge part of my life. Nothing is that serious. We may lose, and we give ourselves time to mourn but then we must move on.
In tough times…breathe and change your perspective 🙂
